The following are considered Core IEP team members:

If a core team member will not attend a meeting, a “Request to Excuse” form must be sent with the Invitation to Conference. Written input from that individual must also be provided to the team (including the parent) prior to the meeting, unless their area will not be discussed.

If an unexpected conflict or emergency occurs on the day of the meeting and a core member is unable to attend, document the name/role of the individual and the team’s decision to move forward with the meeting in the IEP meeting minutes.
