Gathering Information

Once you have a topic to research, you may find it helpful to write a series of questions. These inquiry questions will help you to find information relevant to your topic. For example, if one is researching the splitting of an atom, one may want to ask: What is an atom? What happens when it is split? What's inside the atom? Who is responsible for splitting the atom? How did he/she figure it out? Why is the splitting of the atom important? What new scientific discoveries have been made since we found what was in the atom?

Now you'll want to find information that answers these questions. Use Classlink to easily access helpful folders for research. Check out the Works Cited folder, the Primary Sources folder, and the Newspapers folder to easily access information. You can also access library databases by using the left sidebar in Schoology.
