Merge Cube

We recently presented Merge Cube's capabilities to the curriculum team and it was a big hit. I know Voss Farms Elementary is already using them (she told me she was able to find the good foam Merge Cubes for $1 apiece and bought a class set! Wowzers!). If you want to try them out, here is a link to a Printable Merge Cube (it may be a bit heavy on the ink, but it's worth it to try one out). Merge Cube is an Augmented Reality tool that lets you view 3d models and interactives in the palm of your hand (or on your table).

The Merge Cubes work with the following apps:

Merge Explorer - the main app - includes interactive lessons, quizzes, and support for languages other than English - offers in-app purchases

Merge Object Viewer - basic Merge App with a random assortment of modules to view

Merge Cube Co Spaces - Students program 3d applications and games for use with Merge Cube. You can also generate 3d models before you print them out to see what they'll look like.

Mr. Body - Free anatomy app for kids

MyARAquarium - Free simple aquarium

Galactic Explorer - Free simple 3d solar system model

Dig - Free - Similar to Minecraft, but on a Merge Cube

Other Features:

If you get a chance to try out Merge Cube, let me know what you think. Maybe we can use some funds next year or request help from your PTA to get some subscriptions. Even free, there's a lot you can do with the cubes.
