National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) http://www.nagc.org NAGC is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving parents, educators, community leaders, and other professionals who work on behalf of gifted children. It hosts an annual convention and publishes several periodicals. In addition, most states have an NAGC-affiliated state organization, and the NAGC website offers state-specific policies and information.

American Psychological Association (APA) Center for Gifted Education Policy (CGEP) http://www.apa.org/ed/schools/gifted/index.aspx The mission of the CGEP is to generate public awareness, advocacy, clinical applications, and cutting-edge research ideas that will enhance the achievement and performance of children and adolescents with special gifted and talents.

The Association for the Gifted (TAG) http://cectag.com/ TAG is a special interest division of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). It promotes the welfare and education of children and youth with gifts, talents, high potential, and those who are twice-exceptional.

Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG): http://sengifted.org/ The mission of SENG is to foster environments in which all gifted children and adults can understand and accept themselves and be understood, valued, and supported by others.

GEFN is a statewide nonprofit organization providing support, information, and connections for families of gifted students in all populations. They are committed to equity and diversity in gifted education, and they engage in advocacy to support excellence in gifted programming across the state."

Education Service Center (ESC) G/T Coordinators, District G/T Coordinators, and G/T educators: To ensure that GEFN is accessible to families at all income levels, membership is completely free. Providing information about GEFN to G/T parents in your district can help meet the compliance requirement in State Plan Section 6.4 (β€œThe opportunity to participate in a parent association and/or gifted/talented advocacy groups is provided to parents and community members”).
