Please download a copy of this graduation checklist to ensure that you understand and complete all requirements for graduation.
Students may graduate in August, December, or May, based on their individualized program plan. All students can participate in the May commencement ceremony. If you want to walk in the commencement ceremony before all of the program requirements are met, you must complete a petition to walk form. See Commencement and Diplomas for more information.
All students are responsible for understanding the requirements of their academic program, and should routinely review the My Progress tab in Student Planner section of NazNet. In order to graduate, completion of all program requirements must be verified by the Registrar. Only students who apply for graduation and declare their intended semester of completion will have their record reviewed by the Registrar. To apply, go to NazNet Self-Service and select Graduation Application. This application is required for graduation.
IMPORTANT Policy per the Registrar:
Commencement at Nazareth University is held annually in May. Students who complete all requirements at the end of the Spring semester are automatically eligible to participate in the commencement ceremonies. If a student can reasonably complete requirements by the end of the following summer or fall semesters they may request to walk in the earlier May ceremony. They may also elect to wait until the following ceremony if they wish. A student may only walk and have their name listed in the program once. To request to participate in a commencement ceremony prior to the completion of a degree, please complete the Petition to Walk form no later than March 15 prior to that year's ceremony and submit it to the Registration and Records Office.
The final deadline for Graduation Applications in order to participate in commencement is April 1st. Email registrar@naz.edu if you have questions.
