AR80FY - 1 Elective Credit - 1 Year
AR80 - Clay I 1/2 Elective Credit - 1/2 Year in the Fall
AR88 - Clay II 1/2 Elective Credit - 1/2 Year in the Spring
CLAY II - AR88 - 1/2 Elective Credit - 1/2 Year
This is a year-long course with no prerequisite. You will learn all methods to create functional tableware that can be used in your home as well as sculptural work. Pinching, coiling, and slab construction will be presented and practiced in sequential units. A deep investigation into surface decoration will give you time to develop a voice in clay. Each piece of your work will be fired in our state-of-the-art kilns. Students will create products to take home, use and wash in your dishwasher or to give as gifts. This course may be repeated.
WHEEL THROWING: Center yourself and the clay will follow

AR96 - 1 Elective Credit - Full Year
AR96HY - 1/2 Elective Credit - 1/2 Year
Prerequisite: Clay
Wheel Throwing is a full year class for all levels. It is held in a peaceful, meditative environment that focuses solely on developing a wheel throwing practice. It is a very messy class and hard work and patience are required. This class is open to all grades and may be repeated.
