“Death is the Greatest Conductor”
By Jack DeSesa
Jack is a sophomore and second-year writer at the Natick Nest.
Death is the greatest conductor
For he knows the show must go on
As he dances from nursing home to supportive clinic
He assures his company that they should not panic
Once he is done he jumps out the window
And slides down the tree
Greeting every car he sees
Death is the greatest conductor
For he puts life under his job
And when he gets a break
A new war has begun
He runs in the crossfire making and stating his claims
But soldiers do not hear him and decide to take aim
And all along he knows that he is not done
Because word got out
That he was to come.
