Performance Calendar for 2023-24

Please use the dates listed below as your primary resource.

Tuesday, October 17, 2023 – 8th Grade/High School Orchestra Workshop and Concert at NCHS

            All MJHS 8th grade Orchestra members will participate in a daytime workshop and evening performance with the Orchestra at NCHS. Workshop – 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.  Concert – 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, November 1, 2023 – MJHS Fall Choir & Orchestra Concert – 7:00 p.m. (student arrival 6:30 p.m.)

            All Orchestra & All Chorus Perform

Saturday, November 18, 2023 - ILMEA Honor Band, Choir, Orchestra Festival - auditions required 

Friday, February 2, 2024 - MJHS Orchestra, Band, Choral Winter Concert at Wentz Concert Hall  5:00-8:00PM

     All 6th, 7th and 8th grade orchestra, band, choral students.  Student field trip fee will be required. 

Saturday, February 24, 2024 – District 203 Jr. High School Solo/Ensemble Day at Lincoln JHS

            8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Band & Orchestra Students will participate 

Thursday, March 21, 2024 – MJHS Music Evening Music Night Out 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. 

String Fusion, Warhawk Pops, Jazz Lab & Jazz Ensemble perform 

Friday, March 22, 2024 – MJHS Music Department Tour to Feeder Elementary Schools 

            6th Grade Choir, Jazz Ensemble, String Fusion Participate in school day field trip

Thursday, May 2, 2024 – MJHS Orchestra Festival  - 7:00 p.m. (student arrival 6:30 p.m.)

6,7,8 Grade Orchestra performs with the 5th Grade Orchestras from Feeder Elementary Schools
