Completion of all program requirements in Napa County Teacher Induction Program provides an opportunity to earn units. These units potentially move you forward on your salary schedule, resulting in a higher range of compensation for your years of service as a teacher. There are two options for induction candidates and mentors listed below, mentors can only earn units in lieu of a mentor stipend as compensation. This policy is in accordance with contractual agreements and is non-negotiable through the induction office. You are not required to purchase or earn units for induction, and we encourage you to consult with your Human Resources department and union representative regarding questions about advancement on the salary schedule with your employer.
University of the Pacific offers a total of 4.0 Units each school year.
Candidates who complete all program requirements may purchase units each semester at a cost of $100 per 2.0 units
Fall Semester: 2.0 Units Available for $100
Spring Semester: 2.0 Units Available for $100

It is your responsibility to register at that time and pay the appropriate fees. If you miss the registration window, we will not be able to re-open it for you.

Mentors pay purchase 4.0 units each year:
Fall Semester: 2.0 Units for $100
Spring Semester: 2.0 Units for $100
New Mentors only who attend both sessions of the Mentor Foundations Training may purchase 3.0 units in the Spring Semester for a cost of $150.
Please note that if you register for the Fall, you must also register for Spring.
You may not split units.
