Induction Learning Walks are a professional development for both candidate and mentor. As one of the options for your induction growth activities, you will have the opportunity to see experienced educators in action teaching in the classroom. Using your ILP goals or Inquiry focus as a guide, you will determine a CSTP target for classroom observation. This is different from the required mentor observation. For the learning walk, you will both be observing classrooms at the candidate’s teaching site and then debrief about what you observed and discuss the implications for your teaching practice. The schedule time will look something like this:
Approximately 2 hours of observing various classrooms and teaching practices
Approximately 1 hour of debrief and collaboration time.
