My teaching philosophy as a teacher in training I want the utmost best for my learners. I want to create a space for them to proper and to reach new heights in all areas of their lives, not solely academically. I strive to set the foundation for my students, and that foundation will grow in their lives, and it will affect them in the best of ways. When teaching, lessons, and the way you teach should be done at a level where the learners will understand. Learning is not a skill that is necessarily instinctive or easy, and therefore different approaches must be used to make learning easier and more fun for students, of course to a certain extent and boundaries are in place. Teaching is not an ability that can be revised or made repetitive, and so teachers must continue to work on themselves and not only their students. I believe that complacency in teaching is disadvantageous to the learners and themselves as educators, teachers should always challenge themselves and their learners to become better students and teachers. Being an inclusive teacher is the only way to go. Every learner is different, each student has their own abilities, talents, and levels of skill. The development of the learner is mine and the learner’s responsibility, we are each to bring our part to reach understanding in the class and with the work.
If the learner succeeds, I succeed.
I intend to become a teacher, not only for the fun and enjoyment that comes along with being a teacher, but because the right teacher can make a real difference in their learners’ lives. When I was a student in primary school I looked up to my teachers, I trusted them as I trusted my parents. I intend to be a teacher that will do anything and everything to make my learners happy and proud of their accomplishments and themselves. To be a positive memory that they will always look back on. A teacher that never gave up and always strived to give her all for her learners. By not just being the light in a child's life regarding teaching or a helping hand, but also meeting them at a level of understanding. An understanding that both the teacher and learner together will try their utmost best to work, play, have fun and complete their end of day goal.
I would like to be the one to guide and help young learners at such a tender age, it gives me great pleasure and satisfaction knowing that I am making a difference in a child's life. I hope to make a prosperous teacher one day, the past four years being a student teacher has taught me many valuable lessons and experiences mainly from the wonderful teaching practical I completed at different schools in my area. Each mentor teacher that I have worked alongside has taught me so much and I am very grateful for all their useful tips and teaching methods they've taught me. Being in the schooling environment everyday just confirmed how much I enjoy working with young children and why I have chosen this particular field of work, i believe that if you want to work in this field you have to as an individual have a great passion for children and working with them if that passion is not there I doubt anyone shall succeed. I feel as though I have grown so much over the past 4 years and I cannot wait to become an official educator and have my very own classroom God willing.
