Your HNC programme is a fast track 6 month programme and you will undertake 12 SQA credits at SCQF level 7. Should you wish to continue your studies at COGC after successful completion of your HNC, you can apply for entry into our 2nd year where you will then undertake a further 18 credits in 2nd year (SCQF level 8) to attain the full HND award. 

Please be aware, progression onto the 2nd year HND is a competitive process and this will only occur should spaces be available and you show strong personal application and performance on your HNC programme.  As per our entry criteria, you should be aware that we would expect an increase in your personal academic capabilities should you have just completed your studies at school. 

The course consists of a variety of teaching and assessment approaches e.g. online learning/ assessment, practical learning/ assessment.  You will undertake a variety of sports coaching and sports development related subjects, that you will be continuously assessed with a mixture of both practical and online theoretical subjects.
