Performing Arts Graduation Requirements

To graduate with a High School Diploma in the State of Florida, students must meet the following requirements related to Performing Arts:

All of the courses found on this page fulfill this requirement.

Participation in the following Performing Arts programs can provide students with substitutions or waivers for the 0.5 PE Elective Requirement.

1 semester in the Dance (if used for this, cannot be applied to the 1.0 credit of Performing/Fine Arts requirement)

World Dance explores styles of dance that have influenced American media, focusing primarily on Latin and Afrocaribbean.

World Dance is open to all students. No audition is required.

0300320W World Dance 2 (Returning 10th Graders)

0300330W World Dance 3 Honors (Returning 11th Graders)

0300334W World Dance 4 Honors (Returning 12th Graders)

Commercial Dance explores popular modern styles, including hip-hop, jazz, and pop.

Commercial Dance is open to all students. No audition is required.

Rhythm and Rumba is an advanced dance team that specializes in Latin dance. Audition is required.
