I believe that as an educator, I am a guide to my students so that they may access historically accurate and challenging curriculum and learn how to better themselves and the world because of those experiences.

In a world where technology is everywhere, it is critical that educators use technology to benefit their students' needs and to create opportunities for students to demonstrate their knowledge of digital citizenship.

It is the students' right to be assessed and evaluated in a way that they find most accessible and accurately portrays their understanding of content as well as personal passions.

A successful school system is one that is built on trust, open communication, creativity, flexibility, and consistency between all stakeholders.

When offered experiences of risk taking and growth, all can be taught the importance of perseverance. This allows growth in academics as well as a citizen in a community. Both are critical aspects in an environment of learning and will help our students lead a more successful life.

Action Research is a tool that can ultimately bridge gaps between stakeholders, better teacher practice and instruction, and keep student learning and development at the forefront of all decision making.
