For my deconstrutive project, I created 3 diffrent pieces called Nature Reborn based on the Hawaiian goddess Pele. These designs shows how even after destruction, beauty and strength can return.

Final design
So for all my designs ,I used two of my own frottages that I found and made around my house. There is repeating black dots behind Pele and I wanted to show her power and aura like lava rocks floating behind her. Also there is the Hibiscus flower (which I took a picture of and cropped it) to represent the beauty. The second frottage was the Hawaiin Islands because the goddess Pele is from Hawaii which I traced with a white outline and filled it in a dark green color with some of the red from the back round.
For my first layout the back round colors are red,orange, yellow, and a little blue to match the theme of Hawaii, fire, and nature. The backround textures I used was from procreate and their called 6b compressed and Grunge. I used a cut and paste look for the Hibisus flower because I notice a lot of deconstructive art has that broken, rearranged feeling. I wanted it to look like it was ripped apart but still beautiful. For one of the fonts, I used Bebas Neue for "Nature Reborn," which I then placed on the Hibiscus flower to make it the main think your looking at and Urban Jungle for the quote, "Even after destruction, beauty returns stronger than before." I lowered the opacity so the text could blend more natuarly in the back round.
For my second layout, its similiar to the first layout where I used the same brushes but changed some of the colors and the places where I put the designs. I decided to put "Nature Reborn" a little bigger and placed it on Pele so it is more eye catching and it shows the main theme. I also noticed during the proccess why not add an ocean then add the "Even after destruction, beauty returns stringer than before." I felt like I could of changed the font for this layout just because it looks to bulky. If I did kept the font, I should have added more variety to the font like make it feel like its from Hawaii. The next thing I would of changed for this design is to add more depth to Pele to give more of that powerful look like how I did it to layout 1.
For my final design I decided to tweak some of the elements around. I descided to add Pele in the middle and "Nature Reborn" in the center so its eye catching. I added orange contrast around pele so it looks like lava and my black dots frottage as the lava to give her that aura/ strong energy that I wanted . For the "Nature Reborn" font I decided to add like more lava texture on top of it to give it more texture instead of just a plain white font. As for the second font for "Even after destruction, beuaty returns stringer than before," I descided to go with another font that I found on font meme and its called "Hawaiin font." I wanted this font just because cursive makes it feel authentic. For the Hawaiin islands frottage I decided to make it bigger and put it above to make the veiwer immeditly say "Shes a hawaiin Goddess." For the flowers I didnt really do anything to change it just put it in a diffrent spot.
In conclusion all 3 design shows characteristics of deconstructivism like layering, rough textures, and uneven structures. The layout isnt perfect or balanced, its meant to look a little messy and chaotic but also making it feel powerful. The diffrent elements come toghether to show destruction and rebirth kind of like how Pele destroys through lava but also creates new land. The overlapping textures and colors I think represent this idea visually.
