Teaching Philosophy
Teaching Philosophy
As an English educator with experience spanning in diverse settings, I bring a learner-centered, communicative approach to my role as an EFL teacher in Taiwan. I believe that language acquisition is most effective when students are given meaningful opportunities to use the language in real-life contexts. My teaching philosophy centers on developing students' confidence and fluency in speaking English by creating a safe, engaging, and interactive classroom environment.
I design lessons that are developmentally appropriate, integrating phonics, vocabulary, and sentence structures to scaffold speaking activities. I also incorporate visuals, and TPR (Total Physical Response) to ensure that learners, regardless of their proficiency level, can understand and participate. Through consistent speaking practice and supportive instruction, I aim to cultivate confident young speakers who are excited to use English both in and out of the classroom.
