For inductions into Intaglio Print, Lino Print, Etching or Embossing please email acmprintmaking@ac.uk
The Intaglio area includes facilities for drypoint and etching. We have two etching presses and also a selection of aluminium and copper plates. Scribes are available for students to borrow and prepare their plates prior to their booking.
The Lino and Relief area consists of two relief presses. Students can print relief work such as lino cut plates, laser cut rubber and also collagraph plates within this space.

Relief and Etching Inks Contain Linseed Oil Which can be a Fire Hazard
Always wear the nitrile gloves provided
Do not use sinks areas for cleaning ink
Clean plartes/blocks and untensils on the glass topped counter
Keep work surface tidy
Put waste in metal bins and return rags to the Red Metal Tubs
Ask for technical assistance if in doubt
Paper embossing is available within the Workshop. Patterns and templates can be produced using the laser cutting facilities. Ask a technician for advice regarding the embossing process or book for an induction within this area.
