Cyanotype is a photographic process,
where an image is exposed onto coated
paper or fabric using UV light,
resulting in a stunning cyan colour.
To book an induction into Cyanotype please email acmprintmaking@ac.uk
During an induction, students will learn how to coat the paper (or fabric) in photo sensitive emulsion in our safe light room. Once dry, you will learn how to expose an image, wither hand drawn or a photgraphic negative onto the paper using our UV light exposure units, and then devlop and tone the image.
Following an induction you will be able to use these facilities independently, booking them via Connect2.
Specialist Technicians are available to support students
