Role deposit payment link opens 4th October until 31st Octi=ober for the first round of recruitment.

INTERN JOB DESCRIPTIONS
All roles are subject to confirmation and finalising on site, please be prepared to be flexible.
5-Day Internship roles at Leeds are from Wednesday to Monday
Students bring own tents for use in the staff camping/showers area
SHU will provide coach travel to/from festival and hot food each day
Application process via online application form and interviews at SHU
£50 deposit needed plus £25 coach deposit (returned after the Festival on successful completion of required duties)
ARTIST LIAISON (4 Roles)
Artist Liaison interns will be responsible for assisting artist movements and acting as a backstage runner, working on any stage, including the main stages.
This role will involve working under the direction of our backstage team. Strong communication skills required and can do attitude. This role may involve plenty of walking or carrying replenishments for stage or riders.
Shifts arranged with manager on site.
BBC INTRODUCING ARTIST LIAISON (2 Roles)
The BBC Introducing Artist Liaison will be responsible for assisting artist movements and acting as a backstage runner specifically on the upcoming BBC Introducing Stage.
This role will involve working under the direction of our backstage team. Strong communication skills required and can do attitude. This role may involve plenty of walking or carrying replenishments for stage or riders.

ALTERNATIVE STAGE ARTIST LIAISON (2 Roles)
The Alternative Stage Artist Liaison will be responsible for assisting artist movements and acting as a backstage runner specifically on the Alternative Stage.
This role will involve working under the direction of our Arts Promoter and Alternative Stage Manager. Strong communication skills required and can do attitude. This role may involve plenty of walking or carrying replenishments for stage or riders.

BACKSTAGE INTERN (One Role)
The Backstage Intern will involve assisting our backstage team across the administrate tasks and manual assortment including sorting riders within the stores and assisting where required. This role may involve plenty of walking or carrying replenishments for stage or riders.
The nature of this role will involve a very flexible approach to shadowing the team and learning on the job.

MARKETING & DIGITAL/MEDIA/PR INTERN (Two Roles)
General running duties - printing, carrying equipment.
Merchandise counts.
Support with digital content, assisting social execs with Instagram, FB, Twitter and community management.
Depending on experience, students will be allowed to assist with writing blogs and features for website/newsletters and help with press tent management and decoration.
Chaperoning press from one area to another.
Pit runs (chaperoning photographers into Pit(s) for first three songs).

ARENA ENTRANCE INTERN (Two Roles)
This role involves shadowing the Arena Entrance manager, a key position onsite, including observing and assisting with the following:
Implementation of the Arena T&Cs as this is a boundary point to/from the campsites.
Ensuring security are working effectively and to the Arena Entrance Manager’s brief.
Logging of all incidents occurring at the Arena Entrance.

HEALTH AND SAFETY INTERN (Two Roles)
This role involves working closely with the onsite Event Safety Coordinator and H&S team ensuring that all workers onsite are compliant with site safety rules.
The Health and Safety Team is part of the Event Team, which coordinates all activities onsite to create and deliver the event. This role will involve working in the H&S office, as well as out on the ground in the festival and you will be expected to provide support to the team in any logistical, administrative and communication task required.
You must have a willing/can-do attitude to getting involved with any task across the site as delegated by the Event Safety Coordinator & team and Event Manager.
This role will involve working in the H&S office, as well as out on the ground in the festival, so you must be confident in working in non-office environments.
The role will require liaison with both the Production & Licensing Offices.

This role is an opportunity to work onsite during show week at one of the most prestigious UK festivals, Leeds Festival. The intern will be part of the event team, and get first hand experience of how Festival Republic events are managed. They will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of staff and contractors.
