RIGHT TO WORK AND IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS

Look out for an email from one of the team managing the ID checks that we need to undertake in order to check your eligibility to work. You will be required to attend in person to show your ID documents that you had originally informed us that you would provide us with in the application form to verify your identification. 

Please bring your SHU card and/or some other form of photo idea to the festival site. 

HEALTH AND SAFETY

You are required to complete a Health and Safety online induction prior to arrival at the festival, a link will be sent to you before departure. Please ensure you have completed this and familiarized yourself with the site rules. You may be required to provide photo ID upon arrival at the festival. 

A full health and safety briefing will take place for all volunteers after arrival at the site. It is important to look after your own health and safety and that of the colleagues you are working with.  

PHOTOS AND VIDEOS OF YOUR FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE

You will have been asked the sign the photo and video permission slip prior to the festival - one of our team will be taking images and videos for promotional use on our social media in order to highlight the festival experience to others. If you DO NOT want to be photographed or videoed that is completely fine please just make staff aware.

SECURITY

You are required to complete an Anti-Terrorist online induction prior to arrival at the festival, a link will be sent to you before departure. As you are probably aware the United Kingdom is currently at a severe warning for terrorism. We ask that everyone on the site remains vigilant and look out for anything that is unusual and could be suspicious.  

In relation to this the security at Leeds Festival is strict and anyone showing suspicious behavior could risk being ejected from the festival by the security staff. If you see someone onsite acting suspiciously, please report this to security or the licensing office.  

Festival Republic has sent out the following guidance when noticing a potential suspicious item.  

'Check HOT:  

• Is it deliberately Hidden from view?  

• Does it have something Obvious, like protruding wires that makes it suspicious?  

• Is it Typical of what you would find there?  

• If you are still concerned, inform security immediately and do not use a phone or radio within 15m of it.' 

Please be aware, you may be bag and body searched at the entrance to the festival or whilst onsite. Random searching of vehicles and belongings will be carried out. Please label all of your bags and belongings with your name, company (Sheffield Hallam University) and your mobile number.
