SS and Technology

Chapter 9 discussed the Internet and how to use it in the classroom. Since that chapter was created, tons of new resources have come out and there are hundreds of ways to incorporate technology in the classroom. In my lesson plan, the students logged onto an app called Nearpod, where they followed along with the lesson and answered questions throughout the lesson. I also put the lesson on the Smartboard in the classroom. In addition, the students accessed Nearpod by using their Chromebooks. Technology is such an integrated part of the student's lives that the absence of it in the classroom would be greatly noticed. Many students are very tech savy, so utilizing technology in the classroom is a natural process to them that teachers need to be prepared to oversee.
