Professional self-reflection during fieldwork:
As a professional, this fieldwork helped me grow in my skills. It helped me to improve my preparation and organization skills. I learned that to teach an effective lessons, I need to have all of the materials readily available, in addition to back-up materials so that I'm always prepared. It also helped me with my time management skills. I learned that it's key to ensure that you have more than enough time to lesson plan so that you aren't flustered giving the lesson and have enough time to go over everything in detail.
Reflection/Self-reflection during fieldwork:
During fieldwork, I realized the importance of student interaction in each lesson. The students get so excited when they're able to voice their opinions and ideas and it's very beneficial as a teacher to hear their thoughts. This is a great way to discover what students are confident in and what concepts the students haven't grasped yet. In my future instruction, I will make sure to have as much student interaction as possible so that the students remain engaged in their learning. This also provides an opportunity for students to learn from each other, as they can answer each other's questions and help each other learn.
