M2. Planning for Meaningful Learning

To read about my thoughts on chapters 4-6, read my blog post! This post talks about lesson planning, assessments, and building democratic classrooms. I learned that there are many kinds of assessments and that it's important to lesson plan because it ensures that the teacher is prepared to teach students to the best of their ability. In addition, democratic classroom help form good citizens that will be able to make informed decisions as they engage in the democratic American society.

To read about my thoughts on chapters 7 and 8, read my blog post! I learned about the different intelligences and how important it is to incorporate them into your lesson plans. I also learned about critical, or convergent, thinking and creative, or divergent, thinking. Creative thinking gives students greater range of how they can demonstrate their knowledge.
