M1. What is Social Studies

You can read my blog post about Chapters 1-3 to see what I learned about teaching Social Studies! I learned that Social Studies is important to teach because it educates student on how to be good citizens so that they can make informed decisions in our democratic society. I also learned about the history of education in the United States and I think it's amazing to see how far we've come!
