Through generous funding from Entergy and AT&T Foundation, Loyola University New Orleans will host the second Loyola Academy, a collaborative workshop incorporating an interdisciplinary approach using science + design techniques in the hopes of understanding the social, cultural, and ecological implications of how New Orleans citizens manage their water. Participants will spend a week going on field trips to see community initiatives and listening to presentations about the formation of southeast Louisiana, the history of New Orleans, gray/green infrastructure, and use the design thinking process to discover the best tools for educating the community about sustainably embracing water in New Orleans.
