Loyola Academy will focus on learning about the formation of southeast Louisiana, the founding of New Orleans, gray and green infrastructure, and creating the best tools for educating the community about sustainably embracing water in our city. This summer collaborative design + science workshop will work on innovative approaches to solving environmental issues, specifically, an environmental education project linked to the Gentilly Resilience District to sustainably live with water. Included are presentations from scientists, engineers, community neighborhood associations and nonprofits as well as experiential learning components including field trips and design thinking activities. Since our goal is to educate the whole community, we will also implement techniques that utilize the most effective education tools including, but not limited to, print, web, analog, digital, interactive and animation solutions. We value your input.
1: Learn science + design thinking process
