Today we went canoeing on Bayou St. John. On our trip we learned about the history of southeast Louisiana's formation. Drs. Bob Thomas and Aimée Thomas spoke on deltaic formation & the history of Nola and the unintended consequences of water.
We learned more about the unintended consequences of our gray infrastructure when speaking to the Gentilly Neighborhood Association during our lunch break. Walterine Eugene-Griffin and Charles Allen from the Paris Oaks Community Association emphasized the idea of community and the changes one can make.
