Ever feel like you weren't good enough?
Do you ever sabotage your own self esteem with negative thoughts?... you're not alone!
Challenging your self-talk can be very difficult sometimes. Accessing support from our Wellbeing Team or loved ones may help you identify the negative thinking you tell yourself on a day-to-day basis. Negative self-talk refers to the critical inner voice that often says you are not good enough, smart enough, or capable enough. This kind of thinking can significantly impact your mental health, leading to increased feelings of anxiety, depression, and stress. It may also affect your academic performance and relationships with others.
Recognising and addressing negative self-talk is really important. Start by becoming aware of your inner dialogue and identifying patterns of negative thoughts. You can do this by asking yourself if these thoughts are based on facts or assumptions. Reframing these thoughts with positive, balanced ones can make a big difference!
