About Me

I grew up and went to school in England. I worked in an international bank until I emigrated to the USA. At first I was a stay at home mom until both my kids were in school. I started to volunteer and then sub for Merrillville finally taking a position as a paraprofessional in the special needs room at MIS, when it was offered to me. I was a paraprofessional for NISEC for 14 years. I decided to go to nursing school after experiencing a miracle when a nurse and Doctor worked tirelessly to save a parishioner at a church service during Easter and attended Ivy Tech in Crown Point . I graduated first in my class and have been a nurse now for two and a half years. I worked as a Medical Surgical nurse at St Margaret’s in Hammond until joining Pierce Middle school and still continued PRN at the hospital until recently. I love to take care of people but I’ve always had a soft spot for pediatrics.
