September Issue
The September Debate will be held on September 28th and the 29th, from UTC 11:00-14:00.
The debate will be open to all schools and students, although the target audience is newer delegates in middle school. The debate, along with the optional four week mentoring cycle, is completely free, held on free video conferencing platforms like Google Meet and Zoom.
Advisors can look for more information here or sign up here at our registration page.
Important Information!
There are two deadlines for September's registration. If advisors wish to sign delegates up for the optional four-week mentoring by jrO-MUN, they will need to sign up before 8/28. On the other hand, if advisors only want to sign up for the September debate, they can sign up any time until 9/23.
Mentoring at jrO-MUN:
Elaborating on the four-week debate cycle, jrO-MUN will send out a form to all delegates who have opted for mentoring after 8/28. Based on time zones, we will allocate delegates to mentors in closer time zones. Mentors will hopefully be able to schedule a video conference with the delegate to explain procedure, provide live feedback, and answer questions orally. In the event that this is not possible, mentors will provide email updates to their assigned delegates, send research resources, and provide feedback for documents. Delegates will also be able to communicate with mentors on our WhatsApp group for more engagement and discussions.
News: jrO-MUN is considering online committee management software.
Jr-OMUN is hoping to adopt chairing software to improve the experience for delegates. If you have any recommendations, please let us know!
