WAYS TO BE INVOLVED WITH jrO-MUN
A school may opt to follow the debate cycle using the materials and guides provided by jrO-MUN. Parts of the program that can be done collaboratively, such as wiki creation, resolution drafting, and sharing of resources will require a commitment from participating schools to adhere to the deadlines set out at the beginning of the cycle. Teachers will need to work collaboratively to provide guidelines and assistance for students.
If a school does not have the time to undertake lengthy research or collaboration, they can focus primarily on the debate aspect of the program. Materials for student participation, as well as online orientation sessions run by high school students, will be provided. Students can then join the global online debate as delegates.
For MUN conferences with a Middle school audience, we can launch special debates or modify our debates to fit your needs. jrO-MUN is a great way understanding THIMUN procedures and practice for a conference.
If individual students find jrO-MUN and do not have a school to work with, an online jrO-MUN Club will be set up and administered by jrO-MUN high school mentors. While the majority of students in online debates will be associated with their school’s program, some delegates will participate as individuals under the supervision of jrO-MUN staff.
