What's Going on in Guidance (and what's to come) this Spring?
Seniors are reminded to check the Scholarship Google Classroom for information on local scholarships. Deadlines are approaching fast!
Students who are interested in attending OCVTS were invited to sign up to visit their program. Students visited during the school day March 25-28.
OCVTS applications were open until April 1. Decisions will be made by OCVTS later this spring.
9th-11th grade students are finalizing their schedule requests for next year. Counselors will be sending appointment calendars for students to pick a time to meet and discuss scheduling for next year. Please have your child check their email regularly.
Registration is open for the SAT. Students who have completed Algebra II are encouraged to take the SAT. The next date it is being offered at MTHS is June 7th. If your child qualifies for free or reduced lunch, they also qualify for a fee waiver. More information can be found at Collegeboard.org or have your child speak to their counselor.

Cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS) is a condition that you might get if you've regularly smoked weed or used marijuana in some other form for a long time. CHS causes you to have repeated episodes of vomiting, severe nausea, stomach pain, and dehydration. This condition is becoming more prevalent with teenagers and can cause serious health issues.
