Many seniors submitted their applications for college!
The FAFSA opened on December 1st. You can visit studentaid.gov to apply. Please remember that this is a graduation requirement.
If your 12th grade student plans to attend the Senior Prom, please save the date for the mandatory parent/guardian meeting on April 16th at 6pm at MTHS. A parent/guardian MUST attend this meeting for your child to be allowed to purchase a bid and attend the Senior Prom.
Current juniors will meet with their counselors in small groups to discuss senior year and post-graduation from February 24-28, 2025.
Parents and guardians are invited to a Future Planning Night on February 27, 2025 at MTHS at 6:00pm.
Parents and guardians of Juniors are invited to set up conferences to meet with their child's counselor from
March 5th-7th, 2025.
OCVTS will speak to our current 10th graders on December 17th about their programs and the application process. You can visit ocvts.org for more information.
Parents and guardians are invited to a Future Planning Night on February 27, 2025.
Fall Freshman Seminar students were invited to attend a trip to OCC on December 10th.
Freshman Seminar classes were visited by Mrs. Gannon to learn about Naviance and other educational tools.
Ms. Eckert and the Youth Prevention Coalition visited Freshman Seminar classes to discuss the dangers of vaping.
Student of the Month recipients from November and December will be recognized on

How much social media is too much for a teen? No one knows for sure, but the issue of social media addiction has many people concerned. One study, published in 2016, not only showed that 59% of parents believe their teens are addicted to their mobile devices, but 50% of teens themselves believe they are addicted. That in and of itself is alarming. However, consider that this now eight-year-old research was done prior to the widespread adoption of other more sophisticated platforms, like TikTok. Read more
