Google Docs UPDATE: Vertical Ruler
Included in the October 2018 update is a new vertical ruler feature to help manipulate tables and directly control the margins in headers and footers.
- Tables - When you add and click within a table in Docs, the vertical ruler shows a highlighted structure of your table. Use the ruler to quickly format the height of rows in the table. (Row width can also be quickly adjusted using the horizontal ruler at the top of the page. Tables can also still be formatted using the "Table Properties" feature.)
- Header/Footer Margins - You can control the margins using the vertical ruler feature. Format your document easily be controlling the spacing using the vertical ruler or by clicking on "Options" and inputting specific margin quantities.

MP1 Grades and comments are due by midnight on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 20. MP1 grades go live on Wednesday, November 21.
Here are a couple of tips as we transition to MP2 (with short <1 min videos - video only/no audio):
- Post Grades with Override Feature: The first video below shows you how to manually override grades after updating grades and before posting them for live view. Be sure to click "Save Grades" when you are done to save your changes.
- Adding Assignments to MP2: The second video below shows you how to add assignments to MP2. It's as simple as clicking the "MP2" tab at the top of your gradebook. *Note: MP2 grade due dates must fall between 11/16/18 and 1/31/19.
