Through this practicum, I taught three lessons that integrated cross-curricular subjects, including math, science, and technology, into my matter unit. The unit culminated in a final evaluation: an escape room activity connected to the storyline, where students demonstrated their understanding of matter. The unit concluded with a performance task, where students creatively shared their own endings to the story, showcasing both their knowledge and creativity.

During my practicum, I taught half of a month-long unit on matter that incorporated an interactive storyline. Within this unit, I designed and delivered assessments, lessons, labs, and interactive games, assessing learning outcomes and adapting instruction as needed. I also integrated Indigenous ways of knowing by facilitating talking circles using a talking stick to encourage respectful communication and reflection. In addition to the matter unit, I taught one-off and interconnected lessons in health and math.
