Hello! My name is Asmi Shrestha, and I am a member of the class of 2026. I am pursuing a double major in International Relations and South Asian Studies, while also pursuing a nexus in Development Studies. My interests lie in understanding the global interactions that shape our world, and I hope to one day contribute to the conversation regarding foreign policy in the South Asian context. I am currently the president of the International Relations club, the Secretary of the Nepali Student Organization (NEPSO), and the Social Chair of AWAZ. Through my position at the Weissman Center, I hope to contribute to building resources that allow students from all backgrounds to explore their full potential as leaders in an inclusive environment, while also finding space for personal growth.

Hello! My name is Molly (they/them), and I am a Environmental Studies and Politics double major in the class of 2026! I'm a member of the Swim and Dive team, heading into my third season. I also sing in the MHC chorale, and this year I am the Social Media manager of the chorale board! I love to try new things, especially when it comes to all our different clubs on campus. I'm a new member of the Queer Action Collective, and I whenever I can I participate in the Mount Holyoke Outing Club, PPGA, MHC Democrats, and the Garden Collective. When I'm not in class, swim practice, or Blanch, I spend my time crocheting, reading, and watching movies. I am so excited to give back to my Mount Holyoke community through my work at the Weissman Center!

Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, I am a junior studying Politics with a minor in History and a Nexus in Data Analytics. Currently, I serve as the social media manager for MHC Mock Trial and Prose and Cons. On campus, I also work at the Francis Perk Cafe and am a teaching assistant for Politics Research Methods. During the fall of 2024, I interned with State Senator Jo Comerford, gaining an insider's view of the legislative process and valuable hands-on experience. My southern upbringing consistently influences my perspective as I pursue social justice in the realm of law and legislation.

I'm the co-chair of MHC Votes, a voter engagement organization here at Mount Holyoke, and I also write for MHC News! Outside of these activities, I love to run and go to the gym, crochet, and spend time with my friends and loved ones :)

Hi! I'm Rebecca Sandoval and I'm a senior r from Boyertown, Pennsylvania—about an hour outside Philadelphia. I'm double majoring in Politics and Spanish, and currently serve as the Vice President of MHC Democrats. I'm also the RA for the Interfaith Living Learning Community, and an Alumni Liaison for the Pre-Law Association. Beyond campus, I'm involved in many get-out-the-vote efforts, interned at a state reps office, and most recently, worked in data security. In my free time, I also love kayaking, hiking and spending time with friends and family.

Diana is junior double majoring in Politics and Spanish, she is also pursuing a Five-College certificate in Latin American, Caribbean and Latino Studies. Outside of the Weissman Center she is on the e-board of La Unidad as the First-Year Coordinator. Diana is also one of the liaison's for the Department of Spanish, Latina/o and Latin American Studies. Back home in Kansas City, Diana has done work in community building. She spent the summer working as an Organizing Fellow for the social justice Kansas non-profit Loud Light. During which she connected with different Latine organizations in Kansas in order to see how to raise the number of Latine votes throughout the state. Diana worked on a campaign for congressional hopeful, Matt Kleinmann, where she was his social media manager and youth outreach liaison. She canvassed for him and learned on-hand skills on what community organizing can eventually lead to. Finally, Diana was part of the 2024 summer cohort of Hispanas For Political Equality (HOPE).

I am an International Relations Major and Asian Studies minor. I am involved in our schools fencing club, fencing as a sabre, as well as previously being apart of the Model UN club. I am also a Student Ambassador to the President's Office.

Olivia Toomey is a Politics and Sociology double major and a member of the class of 2026. She’s interested in electoral politics, voting rights, and breaking into the field of civil and human rights law and policy work. Olivia has three years of campaign management experience around the state of Vermont, working on six campaigns, including managing a Lt. Governor campaign. She’s active in Vermont Democratic communities and serves as Youth Representative on the Chittenden County Democrats board as well as Vice President for Vermont Young Democrats. She’s spent the last year doing advocacy work for state and federal policies supporting youth experiencing homelessness through an internship with the National Network for Youth in Washington, DC, and Lambda Legal’s youth in out-of-home care project in New York City. When she’s not in class, she enjoys singing and performing with the Victory Eights acapella group.

I currently serve as Treasurer for Mount Holyoke's First-Gen Low-Income Partnership and Secretary for Community, Education and Action Club. I am also a senator for Film Society. I am also a DJ for the Mount Holyoke's WMHC Radio Station! Outside of academics my hobbies include reading, volunteering, writing and going to concerts.

Hi! My name is Ananya Sanyal (she/her), and I’m part of the Class of 2028. I’m pursuing a double major in Economics and International Relations, and I’m also exploring a nexus in Global Business. While I’m still discovering where my professional interests will take me, I’m particularly drawn to economic policy and ethical investing. On campus, I currently serve as Vice President of AWAZ, Mount Holyoke’s South Asian Student Association, where I have the privilege of helping strengthen our vibrant South Asian community. You might have also seen me in the SGA Business Office, where I help organizations and societies with financial management. When I’m not in class or meetings, you can usually find me swimming laps to unwind, reading a good literary fiction novel (usually about women in their 20s), or hunting for the best coffee spots to people-watch.

Hello! My name is Beck Bernstein and I am a member of the class of 2027. I am pursuing a double major in English and Politics with a Nexus in Law, Public Policy, and Human Rights. I have a particular interest in Public Policy and HIV/AIDS policy. On campus, I serve on the LITS Advisory Committee, working to represent student interests in institutional-decision making, and on the executive board of MHC Communication-Education-Action, helping to plan community service and educational events. This past summer, I interned for the Delaware County Workforce Development Board, reading/writing/editing policy and learning data skills. Outside of class and clubs, I enjoy reading, playing board games, and watching the WNBA.
