Priya Joshi '25

Priya Joshi is a junior at Mount Holyoke College, where she is not only pursuing an ambitious combination of studies in Data Science and Philosophy but also serving as a Student Leadership Fellow at the Weissman Center for Leadership. This unique blend of disciplines empowers Priya to address and critically analyze educational disparities, advocating for equity in STEM fields through a multidisciplinary lens.


Born in Kathmandu, Nepal, and raised in Maryland, Priya carries an unwavering commitment to education policy and advocacy for immigrant communities. This dedication found a outlet during her internship at Girls Who Code, where she prioritized user-friendly and equitable coding solutions to showcase diverse datasets on Women’s STEM Education. At AI4ALL, Priya advanced her technical skills by developing machine learning algorithms for image recognition and natural language processing, highlighting her passion for applying artificial intelligence to social issues. Priya's ambition post-graduation is to leverage her comprehensive education from MHC to make impactful contributions to the tech industry, specifically in big tech. Beyond academia, Priya is involved in AASIA, MHC Familia, and Nepso, reflecting a well-rounded engagement with her community. Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Priya enjoys indulging in overpriced lattes, exploring her creativity through painting, and embarking on spontaneous travel adventures.


Fun fact: Priya will be in Seattle this summer interning at Amazon as a cloud associate engineer.
