When doing H&E staining, it is recomended that you wear protective goggles, gloves, and clothing. Some ingredients in the typical H&E stain are irritants, corrosive, or flammable. One common ingredient- hydrochloric acid- is extremely corrosive, handle with care. Keep H&E stain away from open fires.
