The Science Center complex contains labs and classrooms for teaching and research across the science disciplines offered at Mount Holyoke. This complex is made up of five interconnected buildings: Shattuck, Clapp, Carr, Cleveland, Kendade, and Reese. With training and guidance from faculty and Science Center staff, students are able to access and work independently with the available resources. A few salient examples are the scanning and transmission electron microscopes contained in the Microscopy Facility and the geographical information systems software in the Geo-Processing Lab. As a student at Mount Holyoke, you can get practical experience with everything in the Science Center starting in your first year.
