In order to promote language awareness, this unit was created to allow students to analyze corpus data, exchange their findings with their peers, and make inferences from results. One of the main goals is intended to prepare students for standardized English exams by practicing identifying keywords, phrases, quotes, and making summarizations. Learner autonomy is also an aspect that I hoped to encourage with this unit by allowing students to analyze data independently, practice noticing, and familiarize with the tech tool, which could be used for learning in the future.
