Main Languages: English, Korean, Spanish
I grew up bilingual in the United States, thus speaking both English and Korean fluently. I was very fortunate to grow up in a bilingual household; however, although I am fluent in Korean, I continue to study and advance in the language during my own time. I never received any formal education of Korean, thus it is a personal goal of mine to take more opportunities to study Korean more explicitly. Currently, I live and work in South Korea, a perfect opportunity for me to improve.
After graduating from undergraduate in 2016, I moved to Colombia, South America, beginning my journey in learning Spanish for my third language. This was the first time that I actively chose to study and become exposed to a foreign language. I would estimate that it took me around two months before I could participate in a basic conversation in Spanish without major difficulties, and found myself improving a lot after around six months of my journey in South America. After leaving Colombia, I haven't been able to use Spanish as much as I hoped. However, although currently intermediate in Spanish, I have no thoughts in stopping my language learning journey!
