Intercultural Lesson Plan Templates
Since moving to CI-based instruction, I struggled to regularly incorporate culture into my classroom without always reverting to L1 use. In order to better integrate intercultural learning into class, I created a lesson plan template that allows users to pick an authentic resources for students to explore and easily develop it into a lesson or activity. The template follows ACTFL Intercultural Communication descriptions and is coupled with Bloom's Taxonomy for easy activity development. The template and a wide selection of example lessons are housed in a public, interactive Canvas course for teachers to use. The course also includes a library of online intercultural resources for Spanish teachers.
