Materials for Language Teachers and Learners
Below are some materials related to my Experiential Module.
Task designs
Each task design follows the same format:
Pre-viewing activity that taps into students' prior knowledge of topic and that has them collaborate with peers to share and add to this knowledge before listening/viewing
Questions that ask students about their anxiety level, knowledge of topic, and any difficulties they may foresee prior to listening/viewing
The three parts of the task--students watch the video three times and complete each viewing activity separately, each time verifying with a partner
Post-viewing questions that have students answer questions such as relating what was difficult about the video and which strategies they used and why
The final question asks them to set a goal by choosing a strategy (or two or three) to use for the next video and why they are choosing that strategy or strategies
Task 1
¿Eres o latino? ¿Cuál es la diferencia?
Task 2
¿Qué es la generación Z?
Task 3
Una entrevista con Lupita N'Yongo

To the left is a document that lists the links to the videos I used in my Experiential Module research. Note that the first is a video that is from an unknown source; to avoid copyright infringement, that video is not included here.
