This phase of my experiential module was conducted as reflective teaching through a series of blog posts which are available via the website to the left of this text.
You can also see in my teaching demonstration videos that I was struggling to have my students speak in the target language and to participate in the story asking activity at all. It was through this research that I realized that story asking and comprehensible input strategies alone could not get my students to communicate the way I had hoped for before I began teaching with that method.
I learned that I needed to pair my comprehensible input techniques with something in order to not only engage my students but also to help them to make connections to the language and how it might be used in the world outside of the classroom.
