Below you will find a videos from my practicum that I conducted during my experiential module of the MAFLT program. I also have several blog posts reflecting on those experiences in the practicum section of my experiential module page.
What you are seeing in the uncut and unedited videos are examples of the story asking technique used in the comprehensible input method. In my practicum I was studying ways to get my students not only to participate in the target language but also to communicate in the target language. I have left these videos unedited because I believe that it gives a better idea of what happened in my classroom, including silent periods at the beginning of the class while students completed a digital warm-up and times when students were off topic. I wanted this demostration to be a realistic peak into my classroom without any extra things going on to distract.
Each video is of a different class group at the novice level of Spanish language learning. There is a lot of English used which is exactly what I was seeking to understand and counter by studying my classroom.
