Teaching Philosophy

Through my coursework in the MAFLT program, I have had multiple opportunities to revise and consider my personal philosophy of teaching. The document included on this page was developed in fall of 2016, as I moved back to teaching ESL in the United States after working in Ecuador for multiple years, where I focused on EFL instruction. The teaching philosophy below includes explanations of the methods and techniques that I incorporate into my teaching and how they impact the learning experience for my students.
