Teaching with Technology

I have had the opportunity to incorporate a variety of technologies into my teaching in various teaching positions over the past eight years. One of the more immediately applicable MAFLT courses focused specifically on incorporating technology in language instruction.

To the right, you can find an infographic summarizing five online tools that have been quite useful in my most recent teaching. A couple of these are used in the lesson plan below, and a couple are also described in my technology-focused Experiential Module.

The lesson plan included below was developed in the fall of 2017 as a part of my technology course. One of the primary technologies included in this lesson plan is BLEND (also described to the right), a learning management system that is used by my school district. A point of emphasis in my current teaching is developing more content within this learning management system in order to create a more blended learning experience for students and increase engagement and participation.
