Incorporating Technology in the ESL/EFL Classroom

In June 2017, I taught at a two-week English language learner summer academy in Austin ISD. During this teaching, I incorporate a number of technology resources, including Nearpod, Quizlet, Google G Suite, and iPads. During the Summer 2017 semester, I completed a three-credit Experiential Module centered on my use of these technologies and focused on how technology can be utilized in the ESL classroom.

This project included the creation of digital teaching materials, a literature review of these tools, lessons plans incorporating this technology, and an essay reflecting on my work. In addition, I created a recorded presentation describing this project and the technology I used, which can be viewed at the right. Findings from this project were also shared at the TexTESOL Conference in Houston in November 2017.
