Teaching Reading

Since returning to teaching English as a Second Language in the United States, one of my primary areas of emphasis has been on developing the reading and literacy skills for English language learners. In the spring of 2017, I had the opportunity to take a course focused on teaching reading in a foreign language, during which I completed a case study focus on the literacy development of two seventh grade English language learners. Through that case study, I had an opportunity to plan and implement several reading intervention activities and analyze the effectiveness of those activities.
