The Rossi Rupee is the official currency of Rossiville, Rossi Nation. Each denomination is color-coded and no coins of any kind are used within its economy. In 2019-2020, Rupees were redesigned and updated (Stay Fresh Act of 2018/2019), with the addition of the 2 Rupee Bill (Vince Tacchini Take Two Act of 2019/2020).
Old, original and misprinted currency can still be found all throughout the Nation. The original Rupees had the presidents of the United States on them, as a sign of respect (since the USA allows Rossiville to peacefully exist inside its borders).
Rossi Rupees are protected by law. They are the property of the Rossiville National Bank and should be used correctly. Citizens may not rip, mark on, bet with, copy, loan and/or steal the Rossi Rupee. Violations should be reported immediately. Rupees are retired when Il Presidente marks a bill with his signature, setting its value to zero.
This bill was widely used in Rossiville's early days when wealth and inflation were low.
This bill was created by Citizen Vincent Tacchini I in 2019/2020 as a way to honor our beloved Pan-Pan, as well as a convenient way to count by twos and tip the store a quick, decent amount.
This bill was created by Citizen Isaac Siegrist I in 2021/2022 as a way to honor our beloved Timmy, whom he donated to us. It was decided that the two bills would continue to honor various celebrities.
This bill is still widely used, especially early in the year. A special "Blue on Blue" Rupee still floats around town and is admired by the citizens.
This bill is used for bonuses often. Its history is complicated, as the original batch was a light tan. The following batches were a darker "buff" (golden color). When it was redone in 2019/2020, the bill went back to its lighter roots, but some were printed on flimsy paper.
This bill is used for bonuses often, especially later in the year. It is common for citizens to roll around town with these "greenbacks" in their wallet.
This Rupee is the only known denomination of 31 in the entire world. It was created as Juli Rizo and Mr. Rossi were walking to the pickup line after school. 31 stands for "Halloween", even though KinPump's favorite holiday was St. Patrick's Day. KinPump sadly departed Rossiville in 2025, along with his bills.
This bill started off a darker pink in its early days, but changed to a soft pink during the remake of 2019/2020. Having a 50R is a sure sign that a citizen is doing well and likely earning lots of weekly rewards.
This bill is normally used for larger rewards. Due to supply shortages on salmon index paper during the 2019/2020, many of these were printed on flimsy paper.
This bill is the largest in the Nation and is mostly used when citizens accumulate lots of wealth and visit the bank for an unnecessary withdrawal. It is the rarest bill to be seen around town. Furthermore, the redesign of 2019/2020 yielded only six copies of the Il Presidente Edition, all of which have been gifted out or put into the museum. All future prints of 500's will be special edition Governors versions. Two are printed and each Governor gets one of their own to keep.
This clip from the 2017/2018 hit song "Expanded Notation" featured falling 500 Rupee bills. They were thrown by citizens on ladders.
This bill is rare! It's actually more neon yellow in person! It's reserved for Vice Presidentes. Ms. Ford has the honor of being the first and only Vice Presidente in our history.
